On the morning of November 21st,  the opening ceremony of  College of Industrial Design, Shenzhen University was held by Shenzhen University, Yantian District Government and Shenzhen Sphinx Cultural Industry Group co.,LTD in Yantian Inernational Creative Harbor. It aims to foster professional industrial design manager in the mode of“college+ creative design harbor”  .

The master students are directly examined by Shenzhen University and the eight enterprise mentors affirmed and employed by Shenzhen University are extremely brilliant at the fellow design areas. According to project teaching characteristics, the college has collected and confirmed 22 teaching projects researched and developed by enterprises, which cover industrial design , jewelry design, fashion design, visual communication, animation design and estate planning  and so on. The college will make a seamless joint of “education –employment-starting business” and show the new type of teaching management and talents training mode of “college +creative design harbor”.

Ruan Shuangchen, Vice President of Shenzhen University Awarded Appointment Letters for Master Mentors, which meant the official opening of the college; the first public class with the theme of “Life Experience of Design” was held by LKK, which marked the official start of College of Industrial Design, Shenzhen University.
Background Material:
It’s reported that College of Industrial Design, Shenzhen University held the inauguration ceremony along with Yantian International Creative Harbor on May14,2013 , marking the accomplishment of the Renovation construction of the college. The creative harbor has total 15,000 square  meters, and it has been divided into two periods of construction. With advanced equipments and complete infrastructures , its opening turned the page on higher education ‘s development of Yantian District and the design industry’s development of Shenzhen. Under the new mode of “college +creative design harbor”, the college made a seamless joint between the education and the design industry and created the first professional  design management training base in Shenzhen. In the mode of creative education, the college will lead the reform of higher education of Shenzhen by integrating the education, research and design industry.
