Sino-Germany Hand in Hand: Design for Health – City of Design Sub-Venue Opened

On the morning of 15th May, Sino-Germany medical instruments branding& design activities with theme “design for health” were launched at the 10th ICIF City of Design Industrial Park sub-venue.
Xia Yang, the deputy mayor of Futian District, Xie Zhuohao, the deputy mayor and Pubic security Bureau director of Futian District, Yang Zifeng, the Human Resources Bureau director of Futian District, Dr. Markus Wittmann, director of Germany Bavaria state China Office, Dr. Silke Claus, CEO of Germany Bavaria design center, Xiang Shuaibing, chairman of Shenzhen Sphinx Cultural Industry Group, Liu Yongli, CEO of Sphinx, Liu Haibo, general manager of Shenzhen Donghai Current Design Company, Zhou Xiang, design director of Mindrey Bio-medical Electronics, Tian wanbao, Chairman of Shenzhen Zonx Technology, and Zhu liang, design director of Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Company, attended the opening ceremony. Liu Yongli and Dr. Silke Claus made speeches for it. The deputy district major Xia Yang announced the opening.

ICIF has been continuously held at City of Design sub-venue for 8 years. First prize for 6 years, second prize for 1 year, City of Design have become an important communication and development platform gathering top level design resources from all over the world. This year, City of Design sub-venue cooperated with Germany by holding medical instruments branding& design activities with theme “design for health”, by taking hundreds of medical instruments as the link to open the green path of talking between high end designs from China and Germany, pushing “Shenzhen design” to international level.
Meanwhile at the opening, the “Signing and Launching Ceremony of Sino-Germany Design Center Project” was on going at the same time. It marked Sino-Germany Design Center officially settled in Futian District, opened new era of Sino-Germany cooperation on design. It will push the creative design industry of Shenzhen and Germany to a new stage of mutual development, achieve seamless contact of related industry chains, accelerate the international process of “design in Shenzhen”.

As front end of modern industry production and high-end service element of modern service industry, industrial design always takes user demand at the first place. This time at the sub-venue, hundreds of top-level medical instruments from China and Germany, including Vital Signs Monitor, Ultrasound imaging equipment, Smart Infusion Pump, Luminescence immunoassay equipment, home medical products etc., showed us the benefits of combining technology and creativity.

In the afternoon, one of the core activities of City of Design sub-venue “Sino-Germany creative industry communication forum” was held at the exhibition hall. Dr. Silke Claus, CEO of Germany Bavaria State Design Center, Yuan binhua, director of Shenzhen FDA Medical Instruments Division, Liu Haibo, general manager of Shenzhen Donghai Current Design Company, Zhou Xiang, design director of Mindrey Bio-medical Electronics, experts and designers, met together communicating about industrial design and medical service, investigated hot topics like “combine technology with creativity”, “healthy designs change the world” etc..
